Born in Schöneberg, Germany in 1972, Ben Klock is a highly respected German disc jockey and record producer known for his distinctive contributions to electronic music. Emerging from the Berlin club scene in the mid-nineties, Klock experienced a period of disillusionment with the prevailing Minimal/Micro House wave in the early 2000s, nearly stepping away from DJing altogether. However, his residency at the iconic Berghain club, beginning in 2005, proved to be a pivotal moment. The immense creative freedom and extended playing times offered by Berghain reignited his passion for Techno, shaping his signature sound. Klock's DJ sets are often characterized as hard-hitting and intense, yet always imbued with a sense of emotion and depth, earning him a reputation for playing "Hard but always with a Heart." He is also the founder and curator of the Klockworks record label, which serves as an important platform for his own productions and releases from other artists.
